Dec 2008 : Direct English India announces Special Priviledge Scholarships to its existing and new students on the occasion of its First Anniversary. Attractive discounts are on offer. Social Clubs formed to encourage students to take part in various activities that would enhance and complement their learning process. Among them are a Film Club, Book Club, Career Workshops and Garden Get Togethers.

 

 

Sep 2008: Direct English Institutes are all set to open inside two colleges in Mumbai, through an understanding with SWWIS Education Institute, an UK-based provider of supplementary Career Preparation courses to schools and colleges in Western India.

 

 

Aug 2008: Direct English India signed a contract with Via Lingua Inc, Philippines, to provide support to Language operations in Manila, Philippines.

 

 

July 2008: Repeat orders from customers continue to come in and fresh clients are added to the system.

 

 

May 2008: The first franchisee signs up for Hyderabad locations– with a plan to open two more outlets in the student populated area of Ameerpet and the hitech area in Madhapur.

 

 

Apr 2008: Customer delight continues to grow as the first batch of re-enrolment happens for customers who have been extremely satisfied with Direct English and pledge themselves to continue with Direct English for more levels.

 

 

Mar 2008: Yet another feather in the cap of Direct English as it continues to pick up large orders and adds a global foreign bank in its kitty with a training contract that spans across one year. First batch conducted with great success and very good feedback from the client.

 

 

Feb 2008: Direct English launches its first external publicity campaign with the catchy slogan:”World’s Favourite English Learning System now in Hyderabad.” Huge response to the campaign as a record number of enquiries walk in to the centre and enrol.

 

 

Jan 2008: Direct English ramps up its manpower in a major thrust to become the leading language training provider in the region. Direct English also conducts the first student get together where all the students who were in the system gather on the office lawns for an evening snack and sharing of experiences. The Direct English staff with its ever welcoming smile and warmth wins the heart of the students. The event is a great success.

 

 

Dec 2007: Direct English bags its first big corporate order with a leading multinational firm in Hyderabad to train close to 100 people in Direct English methodology.

 

 

Sept 2007: Direct English launches its first centre in Hyderabad, India. In a short ceremony presided over by Derek Price, CEO, Linguaphone Group and Jonathan Doherty, MD, Rutledge Joblink Pvt Ltd. they both highlighted the importance of English in our daily lives and how the world-renowned Direct English brand would help in achieving the goals. They also laid out future growth plans of Direct English with the Indian partner who other than being the Master Franchisee for India are also representing Linguaphone Group in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Poland and Dubai.
